OmahaIt Started in the Family Yard
Clippy's is named after the robot mower that once cut the family's lawn. Courtney was about 13 when it was time to replace it, and her dad had a better idea: instead of buying a new one, he'd pay her what it would have cost, and she'd mow the yard herself.
In 2022, at 16 and with a brand-new driver's license, she set out on her own. She loaded a push mower, trimmer and blower into her 2011 Honda CR-V and mowed yards in Pacific Meadows, near 159th & Pacific, one at a time, all day long. She mowed until the wheels literally fell off her Honda push mower.
When she had more customers than one push mower could handle, her family went in with her on commercial equipment: a Toro Grandstand, a Honda Ridgeline and an enclosed trailer that are all still on the job today. Then she started hiring.
Any mower can cut grass. What kept customers coming back was what no machine can do: Courtney takes the time to talk with people and get to know them, not just their lawns. She still does. She does every estimate herself, handles every concern, and texts with customers all day long. That's what we mean by Care Beyond the Cut.
